Founded in 1999, EHGECO (Entreprise Haïtienne de Gestion et de Commerce S.A.) is a real estate holdings and management company that builds and manages shopping centers and office spaces. It is also specialized in purchasing distressed properties and driving them to profitability.
EHGECO owns and operates 4 multi-purpose commercial centers, included Plaza 32 (A 60,000 sq ft shopping center), in Port-au-Prince, anchored by Delimart.
EHGECO acquired Plaza 32 in 1996. Delimart opened its second supermarket in April 1998 and the mall was able to attract many important tenants, such as American Airlines, Unibank (the largest bank in the country), Epi d’Or, a chain of fast food outlets, and over 15 different well known stores.
EHGECO is currently planning a major renovation of the mall by adding more parking spaces and an additional 21,530 sq ft.
EHGECO is building a new shopping center in Pétion-Ville, the opening is scheduled for 2019.
